The Gould AJT600 is a Class J, 600A 600V time-delay fuse with a 200kA interrupting rating. Class J fuses are a standardised form factor, so the AJT600 fits any UL-listed Class J fuse holder or fusible disconnect rated for 600A / 600V — including holders from Eaton/Bussmann, Mersen (Ferraz Shawmut), Littelfuse, and Siemens. It is not interchangeable with Class H, K, or other non-Class-J holders due to its rejection-style blade design.
Not sure if the AJT600 fits your holder or disconnect? Send us your equipment details and we'll confirm compatibility.
The AJT600 uses the standard Class J rejection-style blade, so it fits any UL-listed Class J fuse holder or fusible disconnect rated for at least 600A and 600V. Common compatible holders are made by Eaton, Mersen, Littelfuse, and Siemens. Do not install it in a non-Class-J holder — the rejection feature prevents this in most cases, but always verify your holder's Class J rating before installation.
Yes — Northern Breaker Group specialises in obsolete and hard-to-find fuses, and the AJT600 is available through our inventory or sourcing network. The Gould AJT series was carried forward by Mersen (formerly Ferraz Shawmut) as the AJT600, and Littelfuse lists the AJTR600 as a compatible time-delay Class J equivalent. Time-delay fuses tolerate the high inrush current that occurs when a motor starts (typically 6–8× full-load amps for several seconds) without nuisance blowing, while still providing fast, reliable protection against sustained overloads and short circuits. The AJT600's 200kA interrupting rating also makes it suitable for high-fault-current industrial environments, meeting NEC/CEC requirements for motor branch-circuit protection.
