ATDR2 – GOULD 2A 600V CLASS CC TIME DELAY FUSE

The time delay characteristic allows the ATDR2 to carry temporary overload currents — such as motor starting inrush or transformer magnetizing inrush — for a short period without blowing. This prevents nuisance tripping during normal start-up conditions while still providing fast response to true short-circuit faults. It is commonly specified for motor branch circuits, control transformers, and sensitive equipment where instantaneous-trip fuses would cause repeated unnecessary outages.

The Gould ATDR series has transitioned through several brand changes (Gould → Ferraz Shawmut → Mersen). The ATDR2 may still be available as a current Mersen product, or a direct equivalent may be sourced under a different catalogue number.
