The BA30B-P/Z3 is a dual-voltage, 3-phase transformer rated 208–277V / 480V, and can be configured for either step-up or step-down operation depending on which winding is connected as the primary. Confirm your source and load voltages with us before installation to ensure proper wiring.
For a 30 KVA 3-phase transformer at 480V, the full-load current is approximately 36A. Per Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) Section 26, the primary overcurrent protection should not exceed 125% of the primary full-load current — typically a 45A breaker. Always verify with your local authority having jurisdiction (AHJ), as application specifics may vary.
