The Square D BDA34060 is a BDA-frame, I-Line plug-in circuit breaker designed to mount in Square D I-Line panelboards and switchboards — commonly used in commercial and industrial distribution systems rated for 480Y/277V, 3-phase service. It is not compatible with QO or Homeline residential loadcentres. The I-Line plug-in design requires a compatible I-Line bus and panelboard enclosure; confirm your panelboard accepts BDA-frame breakers before ordering. Send us your panelboard model and we'll confirm fitment.
The BDA34060 uses Square D's I-Line plug-in mounting system, making it compatible with Square D I-Line panelboards and switchboards designed for 480Y/277V, 3-phase distribution. It is a commercial/industrial breaker and will not fit residential QO or Homeline loadcentres. Share your panelboard model with us and we'll verify compatibility.
The BDA frame has been largely superseded by newer Square D MCCB lines, making the BDA34060 a hard-to-find unit. Northern Breaker Group specializes in obsolete and discontinued breakers — we maintain stock of legacy Square D breakers and can often source units that are no longer available through standard distribution channels. The BDA34060 is rated for 480Y/277V, 3-phase systems. While using a higher-rated breaker on a lower-voltage system is generally permissible from a voltage standpoint, the interrupting rating (18kA) and suitability must still be verified against the available fault current at your specific installation. Always consult a licensed electrician and confirm with your authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) before substituting breakers in any panel.
