At 480Y/277V, the BDA34080 carries an 18kA short-circuit interrupting rating (SCIR). This is suitable for many commercial and light industrial branch and feeder applications, but you should verify your available fault current (AFC) at the point of installation. If your system's AFC exceeds 18kA, a higher-rated breaker will be required to meet Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) requirements.
