The Siemens BF260 is a bolt-on style breaker from the Siemens BL/BA (BF) series, designed to fit Siemens/ITE bolt-on loadcentres and panelboards — including select EQ, ES, PL, and PN series panels that accept bolt-on breakers. It is not interchangeable with plug-in (QP/QT) style Siemens panels.
As a 2-pole, 240V GFCI unit, the BF260 occupies two tandem slots and provides Class A ground-fault protection — suitable for residential and light commercial circuits requiring GFCI on a 60A, 240V branch circuit (e.g., hot tubs, EV chargers, HVAC equipment).

The BF260 includes built-in Class A GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) protection, which the standard BL260 does not. The GFCI function trips the breaker when it detects a ground fault current as low as 5mA, providing an extra layer of safety required by code for certain locations such as hot tubs, pools, and outdoor circuits. The BF260 is otherwise identical in its bolt-on mounting style, 2-pole configuration, 60A rating, and 10kA interrupting capacity.
Availability of the BF260 can vary as Siemens periodically updates its breaker lineup. Northern Breaker Group specializes in obsolete and hard-to-find breakers, so even if this unit has been discontinued or has long lead times through standard channels, we can often locate new, reconditioned, or surplus stock. Contact our Calgary, Edmonton, or Vancouver counters or request a quote online.
Yes. The BF260 provides Class A GFCI protection (5mA trip threshold), which satisfies CEC requirements for ground-fault protection on applicable 240V circuits such as hot tubs, spas, and permanently installed pools. Always verify the specific CEC rule and local inspection requirements with your electrician or Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), as requirements can vary by province and application.
