    The BN55-A50 is a bimetallic overload relay rated for 32–50 A, designed to protect motors from sustained overload conditions through accurate thermal (bimetallic) sensing and automatic trip response. It is intended for use with compatible EE Controls BN55-series motor starters and may suit other starters of the same frame class — confirm mechanical and electrical compatibility before installation.     The BN55-A50 has an adjustable range of 32–50 A, making it suitable for protecting motors whose full-load current falls within that band. Always set the dial to match your motor's nameplate full-load ampere (FLA) rating for proper protection.

    Bimetallic overload relays in the BN55 series are typically configurable for either manual or automatic reset. Manual reset is the recommended setting in most industrial applications to prevent unattended automatic restarts after a trip.
