The BQD6220 is a bolt-on breaker, meaning it physically bolts to the bus bar rather than snapping in like a plug-in. This distinction is critical — bolt-on breakers must only be installed in panelboards designed to accept bolt-on connections. Using a bolt-on breaker in a plug-in loadcentre (or vice versa) is unsafe and non-compliant. Always verify your panelboard type before ordering.
