BQD6315 – SIEMENS 3P15A 600V BOLT ON 14kA BREAKER

The BQD frame is a 600 V-rated molded-case breaker (MCCB) built for commercial and industrial panelboards and switchboards — not residential loadcentres. Standard residential bolt-on breakers (such as Siemens BL/BA series) are rated for 120/240 V loadcentres only. The BQD6315's 600 V rating and 14 kA interrupting capacity make it suitable for heavier-duty industrial distribution and motor-branch applications.

Yes. The BQD6315's 3-pole configuration and 600 V rating make it well-suited for protecting 3-phase, 600 V motor-branch circuits common in Canadian industrial facilities. However, ensure the 14 kA interrupting rating meets or exceeds the available fault current at the point of installation, as required by the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC). If your system fault current exceeds 14 kA, a higher-interrupting-capacity frame will be needed.
