The BR2100 is designed for Eaton BR-series (Type-BR) loadcentres and panelboards. It uses a plug-in (push-in) mounting and is not compatible with Eaton CH panels or other brands. If you're unsure whether your panel is a BR-type, send us the panel model number and our team will confirm compatibility.
Yes — a 2-pole 100 A breaker like the BR2100 is frequently used as the main disconnect breaker in a 100 A sub-panel fed from a larger service. Ensure the sub-panel's bus and enclosure are rated for 100 A and that the breaker's 10 kA interrupting rating meets or exceeds the available fault current at that point in the system. Consult a licensed electrician and verify compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
The BR2100 is an active Eaton product. Northern Breaker Group stocks both new and reconditioned BR-series breakers across our Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver locations. Contact us for a quote or to check current availability — we specialize in sourcing hard-to-find and obsolete breakers as well.
