Panel Compatibility

The Eaton BR360 is a BR-series plug-in breaker designed to fit Eaton BR (Type-BR) loadcentres and panelboards. Its 3-pole, 60A, 240V configuration makes it suitable for three-phase branch or feeder circuits in residential and light commercial BR panels. Note: the BR frame is not interchangeable with Eaton's CH-series panels. Not sure if it fits your board? Send us your panel model and we'll confirm.

No — the BR and CH series use different bus designs and are not interchangeable. The BR360 is designed specifically for Eaton BR (Type-BR) loadcentres and panelboards. If you have a CH panel, you would need the corresponding CH-frame 3-pole 60A breaker instead. Send us your panel model number and we can point you to the right part.

Eaton's BR series is the successor to legacy Westinghouse and Challenger BR-style panels, and BR breakers are generally compatible with those older boards. However, compatibility can vary by panel vintage and configuration. We specialize in obsolete and hard-to-find breakers, so contact us with your panel details and we'll confirm fitment before you order.

The 10kA AIC (Ampere Interrupting Capacity) rating means the BR360 can safely clear a fault current of up to 10,000 amperes without damage. This is typically adequate for residential and light commercial services in Canada. For installations closer to the utility transformer or in commercial settings with higher available fault current, a higher AIC-rated breaker may be required — your electrical engineer or ESA inspection authority can confirm the available fault current at your panel.
