The BR370 is designed for Eaton BR / Type-BR loadcentres and panelboards that accept plug-in (push-in) style breakers. It is not interchangeable with Eaton CH-series panels or breakers from other manufacturers. If you're unsure, share your panel model number with us and we'll confirm the fit.
The BR370 is rated for 240V and is a 3-pole breaker intended for single-phase residential and light commercial applications (using all three poles to distribute a 240V load). It is not designed for 3-phase (208Y/120V or 480V) commercial distribution systems. For 3-phase applications, a different breaker frame would be required — contact us and we can help find the right fit.
Yes — Eaton acquired Cutler-Hammer, and the BR series has been carried forward under the Eaton brand. An Eaton BR370 is the current equivalent of the legacy Cutler-Hammer BR370 and will fit the same Type-BR panels. If your panel label reads Cutler-Hammer with a BR-type bus, this breaker is the correct modern replacement.
