The 35kA short-circuit current rating (SCCR) means the CE3050H can safely interrupt fault currents up to 35,000 amperes at 600V. This is particularly important in commercial and industrial installations where available fault current from the utility or transformer can be high. Always verify that the breaker's interrupting rating meets or exceeds the available fault current at the point of installation — a requirement under the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
It depends on the specific frame and mounting configuration of your existing panelboard. The CE3050H is a bolt-on MCCB, so it must replace a breaker of the same CE frame and bolt-on type. Substituting across different Federal Pioneer frame sizes or mounting styles is not recommended without engineering review.
