The CK31200E carries a 25kA symmetrical interrupting rating at 600V. For most commercial and light industrial distribution applications this is adequate, but if your facility has a higher available fault current at the point of installation, you would need a breaker with a higher AIC rating. We recommend having your engineer verify the available short-circuit current at the bus before specifying this breaker.

The CK31200E can serve as either a main disconnect or a feeder breaker, depending on how your panelboard or switchboard is configured and whether it is listed for that position in the equipment. At 1200A it is commonly applied as a main breaker in commercial distribution panels or as a tie/feeder breaker in larger switchboards.
