The EDB24030 is an ED-frame bolt-on MCCB rated for commercial and industrial panelboards and switchboards that accept Square D ED-frame devices at 480/277V. It is not designed for residential loadcentres. Send us your panelboard model number and we'll confirm the fit.
The Square D EDB frame series has been superseded in some applications by newer MCCB lines, making certain variants increasingly hard to source through standard channels. The EDB24030 is rated for 480/277V AC systems, so it is suitable for use on lower-voltage systems (such as 208V or 240V) as the voltage rating represents the maximum. However, always verify that the interrupting rating (18kA) meets or exceeds the available fault current at your installation point, as required by the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
