The FH16020B is designed for Square D I-Line panelboards and switchboards that use the I-Line plug-in bus system. It is not compatible with residential loadcentres such as QO or Homeline panels. If you're unsure whether your panelboard accepts I-Line plug-in breakers, send us your panel model number and we'll confirm.
The "B PH" (Phase B) designation refers to the specific bus-connection orientation of the breaker within the Square D I-Line system. I-Line breakers are phase-specific — a Phase B breaker must be installed in a Phase B slot. Using the wrong phase-designated breaker in the wrong slot can result in improper installation. Always verify the phase requirement of your open slot before ordering.
The Square D FH-frame I-Line series is considered a legacy/obsolete product line, and new production units can be difficult to source through standard channels.
