The FI36030 uses Square D's I-Line plug-in design, which is compatible with Square D I-Line panelboards and switchboards rated for the I-Line bus system. The 100kA interrupting rating means the FI36030 can safely clear fault currents up to 100,000 amperes without rupturing. This high AIC (Ampere Interrupting Capacity) rating makes it well suited for commercial and industrial services where available fault current near the source can be very high. Always verify that the breaker's interrupting rating meets or exceeds the available fault current at the point of installation, as required by the Canadian Electrical Code.
