The Square D FI36050 is a molded-case circuit breaker (MCCB) in the FI frame series, rated 3-pole, 50 A, 600 V AC, 100 kA interrupting capacity. With its I-Line plug-in configuration, it is designed to mount in Square D I-Line panelboards and switchboards — commercial and industrial distribution equipment, not residential loadcentres. It is not interchangeable with QO or Homeline plug-on breakers.

The FI36050 uses Square D's I-Line plug-in mounting system, which is designed for Square D I-Line panelboards and switchboards used in commercial and industrial applications. It is not compatible with residential QO or Homeline loadcentres. If you're unsure whether your panelboard accepts I-Line breakers, share the panelboard model with us and we'll verify compatibility.
The Square D FI frame series is an older MCCB line and certain configurations can be difficult to source through standard distribution channels. After a trip due to a high-level fault (especially near its 100 kA interrupting rating), the breaker should be inspected by a qualified electrician before being returned to service. Breakers that have interrupted a short circuit may suffer internal damage not visible externally. In many commercial and industrial settings, best practice — and some inspection authorities — recommend replacing an MCCB that has cleared a fault at or near its rated interrupting capacity.
