The GFEP120 is an Eaton BR-series plug-in breaker, designed to fit Eaton BR / Type-BR loadcentres and panelboards. Its push-in (plug-in) design means it is not interchangeable with Eaton CH (Type-CH) panels or panels from other manufacturers. As a 1-pole, 120V unit it occupies a single slot in a compatible BR panel.

The GFEP120 trips when it detects a ground fault current of 30 milliamps (0.030A) — the standard Class A GFCI threshold recognized by the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC). At this level, a fault is detected before it can cause a lethal shock, making it the required sensitivity for wet-area circuits such as bathrooms, kitchens, hot tubs, and outdoor outlets.
Yes — as a breaker-level GFCI, the GFEP120 provides ground fault protection for the entire branch circuit it feeds, including all outlets and devices wired downstream of it. This means you do not need additional GFCI receptacles on that circuit, though you may wish to label downstream outlets as 'GFCI Protected' per CEC requirements.
Yes. The GFEP120 is specifically rated for hot tub and spa applications. The CEC (Rule 68) requires GFCI protection on circuits supplying permanently installed pools, hot tubs, and spas. The GFEP120's 20A, 120V, 30mA rating satisfies those requirements for compatible 120V hot tub circuits. Always verify your specific equipment's nameplate requirements and consult a licensed electrician to ensure full CEC compliance.
