The GFEP220 is an Eaton 2-Pole 20 Amp 240 Volt Push-In GFCI Breaker with a 30 mA sensitivity. Designed for maximum safety, it protects against ground faults, making it ideal for residential and commercial applications. The GFEP220 uses Eaton's plug-in (push-in) BR bus design, making it compatible with Eaton BR-series and Type-BR loadcentres and panelboards. It is not designed for Eaton CH panels or panels from other manufacturers. If you're unsure of your panel type, send us the model number and we'll confirm compatibility.
The 30 mA sensitivity means the breaker trips when it detects a ground-fault current of 30 milliamps or more — the threshold proven to protect against lethal shock. Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) Section 59 requires GFCI protection in wet or damp locations such as bathrooms, garages, outdoors, pool areas, and unfinished basements. A panel-mount GFCI breaker like the GFEP220 protects the entire 240 V circuit, eliminating the need for individual GFCI receptacles downstream.
