Yes. The HFD-frame series is commonly applied to motor feeder and branch-circuit protection in industrial environments. At 40A/3-pole/600V, it is compatible with many motor circuits when sized in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) motor protection rules (Section 28). We recommend confirming the motor FLA and code-required sizing before ordering.
