ILSACMN-500 ILSCO PIN REDUCER

A pin reducer (compression pigtail adaptor) is used when your incoming conductor — in this case 500 MCM aluminum — is too large for the equipment terminal or lug it needs to land on. The ACMN-500 is compressed onto the 500 MCM cable and its reduced-diameter pin (approx. 350 MCM) then inserts into the equipment lug, effectively bridging the size mismatch without requiring a larger lug or a different cable.

The ACMN-500 is specifically rated for aluminum conductors (500 MCM Al). The body is aluminum and tin-plated to minimise galvanic corrosion at the connection point. If you are working with a copper conductor of equivalent size, a different ILSCO adaptor rated for copper or copper-aluminum (CU/AL) would be required — contact our team and we can point you to the correct product.

ILSCO compression products are typically installed with a standard hydraulic or mechanical compression tool using the die size specified for a 500 MCM aluminum compression connector.
