A gangable box is designed with removable side walls (or knock-out sections) so that two or more boxes can be fastened side-by-side to create a wider multi-device enclosure. The KORA SMB20159 can typically be ganged with additional boxes of the same series to accommodate multiple switches or receptacles in a single installation. Check that your wall-plate or device covers are rated for the number of gangs you require.

The Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) sets minimum box-fill requirements based on conductor count, device type, and clamp/fitting count. At 15 cubic inches, the KORA SMB20159 is well-suited for standard single-device applications (one switch or outlet) with a typical cable run. The SMB20159 is a new-construction style box intended to be fastened to a stud or framing member before drywall is applied. It is not a 'cut-in' or old-work box with built-in ears or wings.
