Square D's I-Line system uses a proprietary plug-in connection that allows the breaker to engage directly onto the I-Line bus without separate lugs. The LC36350 plugs into any compatible I-Line panelboard or switchboard bus — the bus itself must be rated for at least 350A on each phase to safely carry the breaker's full load. Always verify your panelboard's bus ampacity and available pole space before installing.

The LC/LA frame line has largely been succeeded by newer Square D MCCB series, making the LC36350 increasingly hard to find through standard distribution channels. The LC36350 can serve as either a main or a feeder breaker, depending on how your panelboard or switchboard is configured and the upstream system's available fault current. At 35kA interrupting capacity and 600V, it is rated for typical industrial feeder and sub-main applications.
