The MGA36450 uses Square D's I-Line plug-in mounting system, so it is compatible with Square D I-Line panelboards and switchboards rated for 600V and capable of accepting a 450A, 3-pole frame. It is not designed for residential loadcentres. Contact us with your panelboard model to confirm compatibility.
The Square D MGA frame series is considered a legacy/obsolete product line that can be difficult to source through standard channels. The MGA36450 carries an 18kA symmetrical interrupting rating at 600V. Before installation, you should verify that the available fault current (short-circuit current) at the point of installation does not exceed 18kA. If your system's available fault current is higher, a higher-rated breaker in the MGA frame or a different series may be required. We recommend consulting a licensed electrician or engineer to perform a short-circuit study.
