Panel Compatibility

The Federal Pioneer NA240 is a plug-in (push-in) style breaker from the NA series, designed to fit Federal Pioneer Stab-Lok panelboards and loadcentres that accept the NA-frame plug-in configuration. It is rated 2-pole, 40A, 120/240V, 10kA interrupting capacity, making it suitable for residential and light commercial branch-circuit protection.

Federal Pioneer Stab-Lok panels are a legacy product line, and confirming exact fit is important — send us your panel model number and we'll confirm compatibility before you order.

Federal Pioneer Stab-Lok breakers, including the NA series, are no longer in active production. However, Northern Breaker Group specializes in obsolete and hard-to-find breakers — we maintain stock of legacy Federal Pioneer product to keep existing panels operational. Contact us for current availability.

Federal Pioneer Stab-Lok panels require breakers specifically designed for the Stab-Lok bus, and not all breakers are cross-compatible. Substituting an unapproved breaker can void certifications and create safety hazards. We recommend replacing with a genuine NA-series breaker or a certified equivalent. Reach out to our team and we'll help identify an approved option for your panel.

The 10kA (10,000 ampere) interrupting capacity (AIC) is the maximum fault current the breaker can safely interrupt. For most Canadian residential and light commercial services, a 10kA rating is sufficient — however, your panel's available fault current should be verified against this rating during installation. If your service has a higher available fault current, a higher-rated breaker may be required to meet CEC requirements.
