Yes — NEMA Type 3R enclosures are rated for outdoor use and provide protection against rain, sleet, and external ice formation, making them well-suited for Canadian outdoor installations including rooftop, wall-mounted service entrance, and exterior mechanical room applications. They are not rated for submersion or wash-down environments; a NEMA 4 or 4X enclosure would be required for those conditions.
