Panel Compatibility

The P230 Siemens Bulldog Pushmatic is a 2-pole, 30A, 240V push-in breaker designed exclusively for Bulldog Pushmatic loadcentres and panelboards — a legacy panel system that uses a unique push-button reset mechanism incompatible with standard modern breaker lines. It does not fit Siemens EQ, PL, or PN loadcentres, nor any other brand's panels.

  • Fits Bulldog Pushmatic residential and light commercial panels (ITE/Siemens-era)
  • Occupies 2 pole spaces; rated 240V, 10kA interrupting capacity
  • Not interchangeable with standard plug-in or bolt-on breakers from any other series

Pushmatic panels are obsolete — stock is limited. Send us your panel model number and we'll confirm fitment.

Yes, Northern Breaker Group specializes in obsolete and hard-to-find breakers, including the Siemens Bulldog Pushmatic line. Stock levels fluctuate, so we recommend contacting us promptly to check current availability and request a quote.

No — Bulldog Pushmatic panels use a proprietary push-button design that is not compatible with any modern breaker series (including Siemens QP, BL, or BA). The correct replacement must be a Pushmatic P230. If sourcing a replacement becomes difficult long-term, a full panel upgrade may be worth considering and should be evaluated by a licensed electrician.

Unlike standard toggle breakers, Pushmatic breakers are reset by pushing the button in rather than flipping a lever. They also do not have a visible "tripped" position — the button simply pops out slightly when tripped. Installation still requires the panel to be de-energized and should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
