No — Bulldog Pushmatic breakers use a proprietary push-in bus bar engagement system that is completely different from modern Siemens QP plug-on breakers. The two types are not interchangeable. If your Pushmatic panel requires a new breaker, you must use an original Pushmatic-compatible unit like the P240, or consider a full panel replacement. We can help advise on both options.

For most residential services and many light commercial applications in Canada, a 10,000A (10kA) interrupting capacity meets the requirements of CSA C22.1 (Canadian Electrical Code). However, if your service is fed from a transformer with a high available fault current — common in some commercial settings — a higher AIC rating may be required.
