Panel Compatibility

The Siemens Q315 is a plug-in (push-in) style breaker from the Siemens QP/Q series, designed to fit Siemens/ITE residential and light-commercial loadcentres and panelboards — including the EQ, ES, PL, and PN series. As a 3-pole, 15 A, 240 V breaker occupying three adjacent slots, the panel must have at least three contiguous plug-in spaces available. It is not interchangeable with bolt-on (BL/BA) or other manufacturers' loadcentres.

Not sure if this breaker fits your panel? Send us your panel model number and we'll confirm compatibility for you.

The Q315 is compatible with Siemens/ITE loadcentres and panelboards that accept the QP/Q series plug-in style — such as the EQ, ES, PL, and PN series. It requires three contiguous breaker slots. If you're unsure whether your specific panel model is compatible, send us the label details and we'll verify before you order.

Siemens acquired ITE and Gould, and the Q series maintains backward compatibility with many legacy ITE/Gould plug-in panelboards. However, fitment depends on the exact panel vintage and bus design. We specialize in obsolete and legacy breakers, so contact us with your panel information and we can confirm whether the Q315 is a direct drop-in replacement.

A 3-pole breaker is typically used for three-phase 240 V circuits or, in some cases, for specialized two-hot-plus-neutral applications. Under the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC), the breaker must be sized to match the wire gauge and load requirements of the circuit — 15 A is suited for 14 AWG conductors. Always consult a licensed electrician to confirm the correct breaker configuration for your specific application.
