A lug-in / lug-out breaker terminates conductors directly on both the line and load sides via compression lugs, rather than connecting to a panel bus bar on the line side. This is typically used in sub-feed or tap applications — for example, feeding a downstream sub-panel or distribution point from a main switchboard — where a direct cable run is more practical than a bus connection.

The QC3030H is a 3-pole breaker rated for 240V, designed for three-phase applications. While 240V is common to both single-phase and three-phase systems, a 3-pole breaker requires a three-phase panel or switchboard with three hot bus bars. It is not suitable for a standard single-phase residential loadcentre.
