The QGA32200 uses Square D's I-Line plug-in mounting system, making it compatible with Square D I-Line panelboards and switchboards designed for that bus style — such as the NF and NQ series commercial/industrial panels. It is not intended for QO or Homeline residential loadcentres. Panel bus ampacity and interrupting rating must also be verified before installation. The 65kA interrupting rating means the QGA32200 can safely clear a fault current of up to 65,000 amperes at 240V without catastrophic failure. This high rating makes it well-suited for commercial and industrial installations where available fault current at the panel can be significant. Always confirm the available short-circuit current at your installation point with a qualified electrician to ensure the breaker's rating meets or exceeds that value, as required by the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
The Square D QGA frame has been superseded by newer MCCB series in some configurations, which can make sourcing a challenge.
