The QO120CAFI is designed for Square D QO loadcentres that accept plug-in (push-in) style breakers. It is not interchangeable with Square D Homeline panels or other manufacturers' boards. Yes — the QO120CAFI uses the same plug-in footprint as a standard 1-pole QO breaker, so it installs in the same slot without any panel modification. However, AFCI breakers require a neutral connection (pigtail wire) to the breaker's neutral terminal, which a standard breaker does not use. Ensure your panel has an available neutral bar terminal and that the circuit neutral is accessible at the breaker location before swapping.
