As an industrial/commercial MCCB, the HGA36045 is designed for use in Square D panelboards and switchboards that accept HGA-frame bolt-on breakers — typically NQ, NF, I-Line, and similar Square D commercial/industrial panelboard enclosures — rather than residential loadcentres.

  • Voltage: 600V AC (3-phase)
  • Amperage: 45A
  • Poles: 3-pole
  • Mounting: Bolt-on

Compatibility depends on your specific panelboard model and bus configuration. Send us your panel model number and we'll confirm fitment before you order.

The HGA-frame MCCB is intended for Square D commercial and industrial panelboards and switchboards designed to accept HGA-frame bolt-on breakers, such as certain NQ and NF series enclosures. It is not a residential loadcentre breaker. Share your panelboard model with us and we'll confirm compatibility.

Square D HGA-frame breakers can be difficult to find as the line has been updated over the years. Northern Breaker Group specializes in obsolete and hard-to-find breakers — contact our Calgary, Edmonton, or Vancouver counters and we'll check current stock or source it for you.

Yes. A 600V-rated breaker can be applied on systems with lower voltages such as 208V or 480V three-phase — the 600V rating is a maximum, not a required operating voltage. Always verify that the interrupting rating (AIC) of the breaker meets or exceeds the available fault current at your installation point, as required by the Canadian Electrical Code.
