The NQMB4LA is a main breaker conversion kit for Square D NQ panelboards. It supplies an LA-frame main breaker along with the hardware needed to retrofit a main-lug-only NQ panel with main breaker protection, adding upstream overcurrent protection directly at the panel without requiring a separate upstream disconnect.
The kit is specifically designed for Square D NQ-series panelboards using the LA-frame breaker position, but compatibility depends on your panel's bus ampacity, number of spaces, and existing configuration. Not all NQ variants accept the same main breaker frame. We recommend providing your panelboard's full model number so we can confirm suitability before you order.
